Like every evening, the 11 p.m. news news takes a look at the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s Eurozapping on Thursday October 3.

In Georgia, an anti-LGBT law was enacted. A famous influencer was murdered on September 19 because she was transgender. It was two days after an anti-LGBT law was passed in the Georgian Parliament. The leader of Parliament took advantage of the absence of the president, visiting Paris, to promulgate the law. The president had always opposed it. The LGBT community is collapsed, some denounce a political maneuver before the legislative elections.

Britain returns the Chagos Islands. A dream archipelago in the Indian Ocean, the Chagos have just been ceded to Mauritius, which has claimed them since their independence in 1968. The British were pushed by the UN to make the decision, with a counterpart: the Diego Garcia military base which they will be able to occupy with the Americans for another century, to the great dismay of the indigenous population. This strategic base was used by the Americans, notably for the war in Iraq.
