A man was injured during an altercation Monday evening in a park in the Ville-Marie borough in Montreal.

Around 5:30 p.m., a man was reportedly injured in the upper body by a sharp object. The event would have occurred in a park near Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Hubert streets.
He was transferred to a hospital center, where there is no fear for his life.
His involvement in the event is undetermined. It is not ruled out that he is a suspect, said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Véronique Comtois.
“According to the information received so far, it is possible that another person was injured by a sharp object in this event,” added Mr.me Comtois.
The scene is currently protected to allow investigators to analyze it.
