A dispute in an apartment in Plateau-Mont-Royal, Montreal, escalated when a young man was pushed out of the window and another was found unconscious inside.

Police officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) went to a building on rue Villeneuve, near avenue du Parc, on Saturday afternoon, after receiving a call about a man who was allegedly pushed by the window.

“An altercation between several people degenerated, for a reason still unknown. […] We do not know how many people were there, ”explains SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.

A 23-year-old man, known to police circles, suffered bruises during the fall. However, we do not fear for his life.
Then, another victim was found inside the accommodation by the police.
A 25-year-old man, also known to the police, was unconscious at the time and had injuries to his upper body. He was transferred to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

SPVM investigators are still on the scene to shed light on this incident. No suspects have yet been apprehended.
