An alcoholic driver hit the terminal on rue du Port in Le Mans

The damage, clearly visible, intrigued passers-by in the rue du Port in Le Mans this Saturday, October 22, near the Place de la République. Around 4 a.m., a driver in his forties hit the retractable bollard which blocks access for unauthorized vehicles. Drunk, he simply hadn’t seen her.

He was not injured, the accident was more impressive than dangerous according to the police. But the police specify: in this street frequented at night, it would have taken a swerve on the sidewalk for a far more dramatic outcome. As the terminal itself is no longer functional, even authorized vehicles must for the moment change their route to go to rue du Port.
