Formentera is a Balearic island, off the east coast of Spain, located near Ibiza. However, in the universe of Metric, it is an imaginary space where it is possible to escape in your head when you feel helpless in front of things, says the singer in substance, in the press release announcing the album.
The release of the disc is preceded by the unveiling of a new song, All Comes Crashing and the accompanying clip.
Metric has been inspired by new wave and synth pop for more than 20 years to create danceable rock songs with nocturnal atmospheres or crazy energy. The quartet begins a North American tour at the beginning of August, which will visit Montreal on August 29 and Quebec City on August 30.
