As of Wednesday, authorities will offer an airlift service between Minganie and the rest of the territory due to the closure of a bridge along Route 138.
The information was confirmed at the end of the day, Tuesday, by the team of the local deputy for Duplessis, Kateri Champagne Jourdain.

The Touzel Bridge, on Route 138, has been closed for an indefinite period.
Route 138 is the only link connecting residents of municipalities like Havre-Saint-Pierre and Natashquan to the rest of the world. They depend on it for emergency services, but also for the supply of goods and food.
However, Tuesday morning, following an inspection, the Ministry of Transport decided to close one of the bridges along the road, near Sheldrake (between Sept-Îles and Havre-Saint-Pierre).
Asked about it Tuesday morning, Transport Minister Geneviève Guilbault said it showed that her department’s inspection programs were “working.”
First closed for heavy goods vehicles, the bridge was finally closed completely because it was considered “at risk”, she said.
