An extracurricular animator 44-year-old was indicted on Thursday for touching several children which he cared for in a recreation center in Lampertheim. This married man and father has been indicted for sexual assault on a 15-year-old minor and for corruption of a 15-year-old minor, indicates the Strasbourg prosecutor’s office.
The man partially acknowledged the facts
At least eight victims have been identified. The oldest is a 12-year-old girl. While in custody, the man partially acknowledged the facts indicating that he was suffering “impulses“. He also admits having downloaded child pornography videos on his computer. The investigators seized about sixty hard drives. The prosecution requested his placement in pre-trial detention.
The facts would have taken place in a leisure center in the small town of Lampertheim located north of Strasbourg. The man had been working in this center for twenty years. He was in contact with 2000 children. The investigation was entrusted to the Mundolsheim gendarmerie which has set up numbers (06.71.17.86.19/06.71.01.65.68) to collect testimonies from other potential victims.
