An adviser to Eric Zemmour targeted by a complaint for rape, an open investigation

Eric Zemmour’s adviser, Olivier Ubéda, is the subject of a rape complaint filed on December 9, franceinfo learned on Monday January 31 from the Paris prosecutor’s office. An investigation was opened the next day, December 10. The investigations were entrusted to the first judicial police district.

According to information from franceinfo, a source familiar with the matter, it was an 18-year-old young man who filed a complaint against Olivier Ubéda. “I call that a slanderous denunciationhe reacts on Twitter. I will only react when I know what and who we are talking about. Sometimes #MeToo is just mytho.”

Aged 51, the communications adviser, notably in charge of Eric Zemmour’s image, believes, still on Twitter, that “the scenario is screwed up” but that he “is not based on anything real”. “The media love it. Wanting to break what works. Dirty to prevent it. Throwing up. Who’s being fooled? Who’s next?”

Olivier Ubéda implies that this complaint is part of a series of cases for which he has been accused since he began to “work for Z”. “You are accused of rape”, “the taxman is overzealous”and “Your wife is fired from her job”he writes, referring in particular to the dismissal of his wife, Anne Gaudin-Ubéda, chief of staff of the president LR of the Departmental Council of Creuse until last September, according to France Bleu Creuse.

The communications adviser indicates that he will be heard on Tuesday in “free hearing for a questioning”. Several witness hearings have already taken place, learned franceinfo from a source familiar with the matter.

Before joining Eric Zemmour last September, Olivier Ubéda was known for having participated in the organization of the victorious presidential campaign of Nicolas Sarkozy, in 2007. He had been responsible for public relations for the UMP between 2002 and 2004.
