Help was called shortly after 9 p.m. On the A20, a terrible accident took place after the Gignac toll near Nespoul (interchange 53) this Sunday evening in the direction Toulouse-Paris. A car with 3 people on board violently collided with a spreader in action on the highway. The light vehicle was embedded under the spreader and caught fire according to the firefighters.
The toll of this dramatic accident is heavy. The three occupants of the vehicle as well as the operator of the salt spreader are deceased.
Help is still there this Sunday evening. You have to clear the vehicles to be able to extract the bodies. The Dirco invites motorists to avoid the sector of exit 53 so as not to interfere with the work of the emergency services.
