A fatal road accident claimed four victims on Saturday April 16 in the early morning. The firefighters were alerted at 5 a.m. to an accident car in front of Fnac in Bayonne, avenue du Maréchal Soult. Four men, the occupants of the vehicle, died.
Traumatic cardio-respiratory arrest
In the few elements known for the moment on this accident, there was only one car involved. Upon their arrival, the firefighters and the SMUR extricated the first three victims, then the fourth. But the doctor on site immediately declared the death of all the occupants of the car, in traumatic cardio-respiratory arrest.
There is no indication for the moment that the accident is linked to the Bayonne ham fair, which began on Thursday April 14 and ends at the end of the weekend. An investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident is open.
