The jackknifing of a truck on Highway 15 southbound at the La Porte-du-Nord roadside stop caused a major traffic jam in the area on Sunday morning. The vehicle was towed in the late afternoon.
Around 9:45 a.m., the driver of a heavy goods vehicle reportedly lost control of his vehicle on the A15 Sud near kilometer 49, about two kilometers south of La Porte-du-Nord, causing “heavy traffic”, said the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Nicolas Scholtus.
The vehicle was towed away at 11:45 a.m. “The lanes have been cleared and the roads have been salted and cleaned,” Scholtus said.
No injuries were reported.
