Three associations are sounding the alarm: LECS (The Ecologists of the Wild Coast) Terre et Mer and Vert Pays Blanc et Noir have filed a petition with 5,000 signatures to the owner of the premises, the Works of Pen Bron, as well as to the Department and at the Prefecture. It is a huge building of 22,000 m2, put up for sale but subject to conditions. The purchaser must respect the specifications, the fauna and flora as well as the project as a whole. The Pen Bron site is a well-known natural gem on the Guérande peninsula. It is a place for strolling between the sand and the trees, between the ocean and the salt marshes. For decades it has been well maintained and preserved but today the barriers, fences and fences that border the dune are mostly on the ground, trampled by the crowd, especially in summer. The Works of Pen Bron contemplate a sale within six months. We know that the Conservatoire du Littoral is interested. But for associations, it is impossible to wait without doing anything: “It’s urgent”.
