Around 10:50 p.m., the firefighters were called to a road accident in Boussais, at a place called Le Patis. An accident between two cars, in the first vehicle a seriously injured 70-year-old woman and an 8-year-old girl who did not survive. In the other car, 5 people aged 28 to 86 were injured and taken care of. The injured were transported to the Nord Deux Sèvres hospital and the Niort hospital center. The circumstances of this fatal collision are still unknown.
