An 18-year-old young man, suspected of being at the origin of false bomb threats in his high school in Mont-de-Marsan (Landes) and arrested on Friday March 29, is now under judicial control, reports France Bleu Gascogne.

Since January, his school, the Robert Wlérick vocational high school in Mont-de-Marsan, has been evacuated six times after threats received by email. These messages mentioned explosives or contained allusions of a terrorist nature.

This young person, with no criminal record, was brought before the prosecution the day after his arrest. According to information from France Bleu Gascogne, the suspect wanted “avoid controls” and used these terrorist threats to cover their tracks. An expertise was carried out, revealing “slight mental retardation”.

The suspect was placed under judicial supervision and will face trial in early May. In the meantime, he is prohibited from going to the Robert Wlérick establishment, with an obligation of care.
