An 18-year-old young man was indicted for “organized gang assassinations”, “organized gang assassination attempts” and “criminal association” and placed in pre-trial detention after the triple shooting in Marseille (Bouches-du- Rhône) in the night from Sunday to Monday having left three dead and eight injured, including one very seriously, learned this Friday franceinfo from a judicial source.

This indictment follows one of the three shootings, which took place on Monday April 3 at 12:40 a.m., rue Vincent Leblanc in the 2nd arrondissement, which had three victims, a 16-year-old boy, who died on the spot, and two other teenagers. 14 and 15 year olds, injured, with one of them still living with a vital prognosis. Four arrests took place shortly after this third shooting.

Three of the four people arrested in the investigation into the Joliette shooting had been released, and the last was referred on Thursday evening. This 18-year-old has already been convicted of acts of violence, said the public prosecutor of Marseille on Thursday in a press release.

Two other young people, aged 21 and 23, were killed in the first shooting of the night, near the city of Castellas, in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille, just before another series of shootings nearby, near the city of Aygalades. So many facts attributed by the authorities to settling of accounts between drug trafficking networks.
