The day after the European elections, MoDem MP Richard Ramos gives his analysis of the results of the election. The National Rally (RN) vote “is not just a vote of anger“, he says on franceinfo, while Marine Le Pen’s party achieved a historic score (31.37%), twice higher than that of the presidential camp (14.60%), to which Richard Ramos belongs.

“We have not responded to the concrete problems of the French” And “I include myself in it”, explains the elected official from Loiret. He describes a “kind of feeling of abandonment” in the “rurality” which leads voters to say “why not them? [le RN]” This is not the only reason to explain that nearly 7.8 million chose the RN vote. “We have a form of arrogance from ministers”, he blurted. “Just yesterday [dimanche] evening”in the media, he heard them confuse “pedagogy and arrogance”.

“At a certain point, the French want us to deal with them, they don’t want us to explain to them why they are imbeciles and why they are wrong to think that they are unhappy”, asserts the deputy secretary general of MoDem. He does not regret Emmanuel Macron’s decision to dissolve the National Assembly, in reaction to the European result. “When we come back to the French, it’s always a good solution”according to him.

However, “the French will also have to take responsibility”. “If they really want Mr. Bardella to lead France, that perhaps even Mr. Mariani will be the next Minister of Defense, that we evacuate all the foreigners in the fields and that our farmers no longer have a hand -work, it’s a choice”, he warns. If the RN wins, Jordan Bardella will be a candidate for the post of Prime Minister, the party said on Monday. As for Thierry Mariani, he is known for his pro-Russian positions.
