Amiens caught on the wire by Dijon (1-1)

Four days after his shipwreck (6-0) in Toulouse, Amiens thought to be reassured leading against Dijon but the DFCO equalized on the wire after a gag goal against his camp from Mathieu Dossevi. Amiens is 13th in Ligue 2 with 37 points.

For this meeting, Philippe Hinschberger could count on the return of its captain. Injured in the foot for more than two weeks, Mateo Pavlovic has regained its place in the central hinge. At the forefront of the attack, it is Chadrac Akolo who was preferred to Tolu to start alongsideAliou Badji.

Fairly closed start to the match

There was first a long phase of observation between Amiens and Dijonnais. The two teams neutralized each other without creating a chance in the first 20 minutes. The first alert on Régis Gurtner’s goal came a little later with a header from the DFCO defender, Senou Coulibaly. But the ball went quite clearly over the top.

Amiens wasted an opportunity in the 25th. Kader Bambawho had himself obtained a good free kick hit him directly into the wall of Dijon. Aliou Badji also had an opportunity at the half hour mark. After a good collective movement on the right side, the top scorer of the ASC turned around in pivot and power in the penalty area. But the strike from the Senegalese was narrowly returned by the Burgundian defense.

Kader Bamba tried his luck again five minutes from the break. But the strike from the striker on loan from FC Nantes missed the goals of Baptiste Reynet. Aliou Badji worried the Dijon goalkeeper just before the break, his shot was saved for a corner. And on this corner, the head of Mateo Pavlovic passed by. The two teams went back to the locker room without scoring, a perfectly logical 0-0.

Dijon lit a first entry wick in the second half. Jordan Marie tried his luck at a big twenty meters. Regis Gurtner laid down well to capture the ball. In the process, the Burgundians were saved by their post. Adama Fofana fired a centerOwen Gene on the right post of the goal of the DFCO.

Kader Bamba finds the opening!

The Amiens accelerated again around the hour mark, were more enterprising than the Dijonnais without creating a real opportunity. Tolu and Dossevi entered instead of Chadrac Akolo and Owen Gene.

Aliou Badji could have been the detonator with a floating strike on the bar but it’s Kader Bamba, almost in stride, 20 minutes from the end of the match which shook the Dijon nets. Well launched, in motion, Bamba landed a cross shot that deceived Baptiste Reynet (1-0).

Fatal error on the wire

Kader Bamba could even have doubled the bet a few seconds later. Following a center of Mathieu Dossevi, he hit the goal but it was missed. Aliou Badji, who saw his ball diverted from a reflex stop by Baptiste Reynet. Amiens thought they would get the win. But the twist of fate came in the 92nd with a ball set back from the chest by Mathieu Dossevi, badly negotiated by Régis Gurtner for the equalizer for Dijon (1-1).

Place now in the international truce. Mamadou Fofana will notably leave for selection with Mali. Amiens will return to Ligue 2 on April 2 with a trip to Valenciennes.
