A clarification in an explosive context. United States President Joe Biden assured that, if the United States has authorized Ukraine to use American weapons on Russian territory, they will not be used to strike Moscow or the Kremlin. These statements appear in an interview extract published Thursday June 6 by the ABC channel.

The President of the United States gave the green light last week, under conditions, to the use of American weapons by kyiv against targets in Russia located near the Kharkiv region (northeast of Ukraine). Asked whether these weapons had already been used by kyiv, Joe Biden did not directly answer, but assured that the United States would not allow them to be used. “to strike 300 km inside Russian territory or in Moscow or on the Kremlin”but rather be used near the border in the event of attacks on Ukrainian targets launched” from Russia.

In reaction to the green light given to kyiv by several countries, including France and Germany, the Kremlin put diplomacy aside. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday threatened to deliver weapons to third countries that could harm Western interests if the West allows Ukraine to hit Russia with its missiles long range.

“If someone considers it possible to supply such weapons in the combat zone to strike our territory (…) why should we not have the right to supply our weapons of the same type to regions of the world where they will be struck the sensitive installations of the countries which act in this way against Russia”declared the Russian president during a meeting with several press agencies, including AFP.
