A 72-year-old American citizen has been sentenced to seven years in prison in Russia. Stephen Hubbard appeared exhausted during his trial, almost unable to stand up when the verdict was announced. Residing in the country since 2014, he was kidnapped by the Russians at the start of the war. He is accused of having fought in the Ukrainian army.

Slovakia has opened bear hunting. On Saturday October 5, a mushroom picker was killed by the animal. The country is now seeking to capture the bear responsible for this death, while nearly 6,000 specimens are found in Slovakia. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico asked:a state of emergency in all regions“.

Swiss employers will now be able to deduct bathroom breaks from working time. A regional court validated this practice.
