US aid to Ukraine: “Europe must follow this example”

“This is a major turning point, it is the example that Europe must follow”, says Renaissance spokesperson Loïc Signor, regarding the vote by the American House of Representatives for $61 billion in aid to Ukraine. Help needed because “Ukraine is in danger from repeated attacks by Russia”but also “faced with a certain number of personalities in the world who are starting to waver in the support given to Ukraine”affirms Loïc Signor.

The spokesperson for the presidential party recalls that France has committed to providing three billion euros in military aid to Ukraine in 2024. In total, the European Union will provide aid of 50 billion euros . According to Loïc Signor, “a check to Ukraine is a check to the French”. “Imagine for a moment that Vladimir Putin definitely wins in Ukraine, it’s inflation cubed, it’s energy prices squared”he says. “So yes, we must continue to support Ukraine, including financially.”

Emmanuel Macron will set his main European orientations during a “vision speech”

For Loïc Signor, the speech on Europe that the Head of State will give on April 25 “is not a programmatic speech, it is a vision speech”. The Head of State had already given a speech at the Sorbonne in 2017 for a sovereign, united and democratic Europe.

The spokesperson for the presidential party affirms that “the socialists and the European right recognize that there are two leaders today in Europe: Emmanuel Macron, on the one hand for the vision he carries for European construction, and Viktor Orban on the other against construction European as we know it.

Marine Le Pen’s visit to Mayotte: “Electoral tourism”

Five days after the launch of operation “Mayotte place net” on the French archipelago in the Indian Ocean, involving 1,700 gendarmes and police officers for eleven weeks, Marine Le Pen accused the executive of being “in agitation, communication”.

For Loïc Signor, “the situation in Mayotte requires something other than electoral tourism carried out by Marine Le Pen, once a year to say ‘be careful, nothing is going well'”. Marine Le Pen called on the spot to “whistle the end of recess“, accusing the Comoros of “want to recover Mayotte through demography”. “We are almost in a migratory war waged against us by the Comoros,” specifies Loïc Signor.
