Bob Saget rose to fame playing Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three, in the hit sitcom Home party. This role had earned him the nickname of “daddy of America”. The series, which aired from 1987 to 1995, was the subject of a sequel on Netflix between 2016 and 2020, focusing on the character of one of the girls.
Bob Saget was also the voice over of the narrator in the series How I met your mother and had appeared many times in Entourage, in which he played his own role from 2005 to 2010. Born in 1956 in Philadelphia, the comedian known for his one-man shows had three daughters with his first wife Sherri Kramer Saget before remarrying Kelly Rizzo.
