A helping hand to the supporters. Since the start of the season, anger has been brewing in the Ligue 2 stands, following BeIN Sports’ decision to bring forward the seven multiplex matches (initially scheduled for Saturdays at 7 p.m.) to Friday evening, as well as the Sunday match (1 p.m.) to Monday evening. A unilateral choice by the new Ligue 2 broadcaster, which led to a wave of protest in all the championship venues on the first day.

In all corners of the country, banners were read which read: “Football is on the weekend”, “beIN Sports kills the atmosphere” And “beIN Sports is destroying grassroots football”. Questioned in writing by Corentin Le Fur (LR), deputy for Côtes-d’Armor, the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra announced an upcoming meeting via her X account (ex-Twitter).

“After discussions with the LFP, I can confirm to you, Mr. Deputy, that the League, broadcaster and the National Supporters Association (ANS) will meet next week to develop a collective solution.”replied the Minister of Sports, adding that “No one forgets that the supporters are – and will remain – the beating heart of French football.”
