Amel Bent takes over Charles Aznavour again, Marianne James collapses!

This February 15, 2023, M6 blew 20 years of New star. This tele-hook show which, from 2003 to 2010, revealed many talents. Under the leadership of an unforgettable jury, made up of Marianne James, Manu Katché, André Manoukian and Dove Attia, specially assembled for this anniversary evening. In eight years, the program has been presented by Benjamin Castaldi, Virginie Efira and Virginie Guihaume. But this Wednesday evening, it was Karine Le Marchand who officiated as mistress of ceremonies. An evening placed under the sign of emotion and nostalgia which has not forgotten to broadcast its essential, and long-awaited, casseroles which always delight the public. If she didn’t win season 2, -she placed 3e, and it was Steeve Estatof who won the competition-, Amel Bent is now a popular artist who, too, will soon celebrate the twenty years of her fine career. For the occasion, the 37-year-old artist performed on the Nouvelle Star stage, his favorite song, the one that allowed him to enter the adventure during the castings… Bohemian by Charles Aznavour.

“One of the most beautiful human adventures I have experienced”

And it was with her slightly hoarse and hushed voice that Amel charmed the viewers, under the wet eye of Marianne James who, already at the time, defended the young singer tooth and nail. A prime-time full of emotions but also full of humor with sketches, which reminded us that this program has brought out many talents, all, more or less still today, on the front of the stage. We think in particular of Julien Doré, Camelia Jordana, Ycare, Miss Dominique, Soan, Luce, Amandine Bourgeois, Christophe Willem, Myriam Abel or Jonathan Cerrada. 1er last February, Dove Attia confided in the Parisian : “It remains one of the most beautiful human adventures I have experienced“, he assured also thinking that the concept could work again, but with a new tone, more benevolent this time…“the show could come back, the concept is exceptional. Only, the jurors would say things differently. It was another time, you could no longer say to someone: ‘Who told you that you sang well? – My friends. – Well change friends!’ We were spontaneous, but we could be embarrassed. I felt remorse sometimes…”, he confessed. Times have changed but the talents revealed are still present…
