Ambre, Louise, Gabriel, Raphaël are the first names that will be most given to children in France in 2025, according to The Official First Names (First), which appears on Thursday September 5 and which France Bleu was able to consult.

In the female first names, Ambre and Louise are the most popular. It is impossible to separate them, according to the authors of the book, Stéphanie Rapoport and Claire Tabarly, “First place is so close that it is difficult to distinguish the winner”. Alba, Jade and Alma are in the top 5.

The Official note one “strong presence” first names linked to nature, such as Ambre, Agathe, Iris or Rose for example. The sound “ia” is in full swing, with Giulia, Mia and Julia, while Inaya “fly away”gaining eight places in one year.
