An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday night for 6-year-old twin girls in Montreal.
According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Frédérique and Sasha Goupil-Marier were kidnapped in Montreal by Geneviève Goupil, aged 50, around 3:30 p.m. Several media reported that it was their mother.
Police are looking for a 2016 Toyota Highlander vehicle, black in color and registered X95LNG.
Both children are 96 cm (3’2) tall and weigh 19 kg (42 lbs). They have white skin, blue eyes and medium-length brown hair.
The suspect, also white-skinned with blue eyes and brown hair, is said to be wearing a pale t-shirt. She measures 1.73 m (5’7) for 76 kg (168 lbs).
The public is invited to contact 911 if they have information or see the vehicle or the persons sought and not to approach the suspect.
