On the occasion of the 35th edition of the Telethon, all the antennas of France Télévisions are mobilizing to collect donations in order to fight against rare diseases which affect 3 million people in France. Amber, 6 years old, fights against the disease, with an astonishing maturity.

The recess is short-lived for Ambre. After a few minutes in the yard, she leaves school and her classmates to join a hyper-motricienne. On the program: 40 minutes of exercise to become aware of your body and tone it. The 6-year-old girl suffers from spinal muscular atrophy type III, a rare genetic disorder that causes generalized muscle weakness. “She cannot walk too long distances, nor run”, explains the health professional.

Back in class, Ambre is followed by a companion for all the daily tasks. “She’s a beating little girl, anything she can do on her own, she does”, describes his companion Angélique Jaunet. The AFM-Telethon organizes this support at school by professionals.
