Indeed, the new president of the Republicans was invited on the set of Daily this Wednesday, February 1 by Yann Barthès to discuss the demonstrations against the pension reform. The opportunity for the host to recall the status of his guest and deplore the fact that he was still “unknown” to the general public. But Éric Ciotti was quick to find the parade and play from this situation. “He knows me (the general public: editor’s note) a little more since Canteloup described me as a transit lover of Alessandra Sublet”he quipped before explaining: “It contributed a lot to my notoriety because people talk to me about it on the street. This is often the first reaction, people ask me about Alessandra Sublet”.

But what is the connection between the two? Yann Barthès, very surprised by the situation, then asked the President of the Republicans: “Do we talk to you more about Alessandra Sublet than about your politics…?“. “Often”, he then retorted. The reason ? The fact that he is one of Nicolas Canteloup’s favorite targets. The famous imitator often took on the features of the politician and even had fun doing “charm” to the host, in the skin of Éric Ciotti in May 2020.
“We can have lunch together at the beach, have a picnic in a cove… You resist, I love it!”, launched the comedian to his colleague, referring to the health restrictions of the time. A month later, Nicolas Cantaloup added a layer of it and let go of Alessandra Sublet, still in the shoes of Éric Ciotti: “You would have seen me young under Sarkozy, I would have driven you crazy“.
