On the occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day, singer Matt Pokora is the guest on 13 Heures, Thursday September 21. He calls on French people who can to make a donation to finance research against this cognitive disorder.

Matt Pokora is committed to the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. This disease affected his grandfather in particular. “It took place over a little over ten years. It had an impact on me when I was young. […] It’s scary because there are moments of aggression, of dementia. He hadn’t driven for two years and at one point he started looking for his car keys. […] For the caregiversit’s very, very hard.”testifies the singer who wishes “open the eyes” about this disorder.

“We have leads”

“It’s a very widespread disease. There are 225,000 new cases each year which are detected. It’s important to help research.”explains Matt Pokora which invites the French to “make donations and help research”. The artist states: “Today, we have some leads. To EIn the United States, there are immunotherapy treatments that have been authorized. There are still some pretty serious side effects, but this is a turning point. We’re finding something.”
