This is a reinforcement that should do great good to the Leek XV. Legendary Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones has been recalled to the squad, which is preparing for the match against France in the Six Nations Tournament, his federation announced on Tuesday (March 1).
Six players have been released back to their regions. They will join the squad ahead of France.
Rhys Priestland has been released due to a calf injury and Alun Wyn Jones will attend camp this week to continue his rehabilitation.

Jones (36, 148 caps) has been out since the start of the competition with a shoulder injury. The second line was summoned “to continue his rehabilitation” before the reception of the Blues, March 11 in Cardiff, during the fourth and penultimate day of the Six Nations Tournament.
A victory for the Welsh would allow Antoine Dupont’s teammates to dream a little more of the Grand Slam. They would then have a final against England, at home, the following weekend.
