Altonlandon cultivates its vines northwest of Valence, at an altitude of more than 1000 metres. This elevation helps preserve freshness and radiance in the wines. Made entirely with Grenache, this Altolandon Mil Historias Garnacha Manchuela 2021 presents all its fruity and charming character, without falling into the heaviness that too often afflicts it.
It opens with an alluring nose, with aromas of sour red berries and red apple, with a floral hint. There is certainly a certain volume in the mouth, but the wine remains fresh and elegant, with light tannins, a bit rustic, which bring relief and call for food.
In the spirit of a Gamay, but sunnier, it is to be served chilled and will be very versatile at the table with a simple cuisine: grilled sausages, pizza, homemade hamburger or with a sugar shack meal.
