The website of the Bas-Rhin fishing federation.
The website of the Haut-Rhin fishing federation.
Have you seen lots of people on the banks of the canals and rivers this weekend? Me too, and I realized that it was the reopening of trout fishing in category 1. But to fish, you must have your fishing license, and be a member of an AAPPMA (Association Agréée Pour la Pêche et Protection of the Aquatic Environment). Did you know that Bas-Rhin holds the record for the largest number of these AAPPMAs in France? There are 117 in the department, against only 39 in the Haut-Rhin. But that does not mean that we fish there less.
The two federations have two distinct but very easy to remember sites: peche 67 point fr, and peche 68 point fr. They manage fishing cards, URN reciprocity, offer you an interactive map of all the rivers, routes, areas, and in which categories they are. There is of course also plenty of information on safeguarding Alsatian aquatic environments. All the information on the fishing associations near you with the sites peche 67 or peche 68 point fr.
