Quebec freestyle skiing champion Mikaël Kingsbury won the gold medal in the mogul event alongside the World Cup in Alpe d’Huez, France, on Saturday.
In the final, Kingsbury won ahead of Sweden’s Walter Wallberg. The Japanese Ikuma Horishima for his part collected bronze. The day before, the Quebecer had obtained a third place in the individual event.
On the women’s side, Justine Dufour-Lapointe finished in sixth place in the parallel moguls event while the competition was won by the Australian Jakara Anthony.
