Alouettes announce one-year deal with Raheem Wilson

(Montreal) The Montreal Alouettes announced Thursday that they have signed American defensive back Raheem Wilson to a one-year contract.

Wilson, who is five-foot-11 and weighs 185 pounds, made seven starts last season with the Birds, after being acquired from the Calgary Stampeders.

“In a short time, he was able to become a starter, showing all his speed on the field. He has done great service for our defensive unit and we are happy to have him back,” said Alouettes head coach Jason Maas in a press release.

The Texan recorded 20 defensive tackles, in addition to two for losses, and he knocked down two assists with the Montreal team in 2022.

In 45 career CFL games with the Stamps and Alouettes, Wilson had 127 defensive tackles and two on special teams, adding three interceptions and a forced fumble.
