Following the departure of Mélissa Lavergne from Beautiful and BumNormand Brathwaite will have three new co-hosts for the 21st season, namely Marie-Josée Gauvin, Fabiola N. Aladin and Lunou Zucchini.
The three women will share the task alternately next September at Télé-Québec.
Marie-Josée Gauvin is best known as a radio host since 2005, having previously worked with Normand Brathwaite at CKOI. She is said to be skilled with a guitar. In one video, the host has a glass of bubbles in her hand and talks about an “honour, Beautiful and Bumto land in your family”.
Fabiola N. Aladdin is an actress. We saw it in Can you hear me? at the same antenna and in Without an appointment on HERE TV. She is also a columnist on Marc Labrèche’s talk show. I am coming to you, on Noovo. She participated in the show’s guitars galore segment last winter. She says she has trouble “managing herself” thinking of all the encounters she will make on the set of Beautiful and Bum.
Finally, Lunou Zucchini distinguished herself as a finalist for “Star Académie” in 2021 and she is the daughter of Luce Dufault, a regular at Beautiful and Bum. Lunou is “really looking forward” to joining this beautiful “crazy gang”, she pointed out.
Percussionist Mélissa Lavergne, who has taken part in 400 shows since the debut of Beautiful and Bum, shared the animation with Normand Brathwaite since 2015. She announced her departure last February, at the end of the 20th season. The role of presenter had previously been assumed by Geneviève Borne, Claudine Prévost, Roxanne Saint-Gelais and Sophie Durocher.
The musical program, which gives pride of place to up-and-coming or unknown artists, is produced by Sphère Média, directed by Daniel Laurin and under the musical direction of Amélie Mandeville.
