“Alone”, Thug | The duty

Voyou is anything but alone. His latest microalbum, Alone, is therefore a sleight of hand in which the French singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist invites us to gather in his very soft universe, a bit mischievous nonetheless, which smells of spring and freshness. Thibaud Vanhooland, his real name, invited several artists to join him for this joyfully melancholic celebration. First there is Vanessa Paradis, with whom Voyou hums a sort of tale-like waltz, Prom, which embraces us and leads us into a game of dance steps to the rhythm of guitars and wind instruments, a bit old-fashioned and just as charming. It’s honestly very pleasant! And then there is Pi Ja Ma, with whom he created an extremely liberating ode to nipples, all nipples without exception. Finally, the six tender titles of Alone flow like a stream that sparkles with joy despite the pitfalls of life.
