The suspect was pinned early in the morning in the borough of Saint-Laurent, in Montreal.

The police investigation has established that the suspect set fire to a branch of Royal LePage Humania in Saint-Sauveur in June 2021.

He would have reoffended on November 15, in another branch of Royal LePage located in Sainte-Thérèse.

The two offices of real estate brokers targeted by these arson attacks belong to the same owners.

In a very brief interview given to the “Journal de Montréal” a few days ago, one of the main shareholders of the two targeted branches had hinted that she did not know who could be angry with her.

The police investigation in this case is not over, said the Sûreté du Québec. Over the past four years, Royal LePage Humania branches in Saint-Sauveur and Sainte-Thérèse have been the target of at least five arson attacks or attempted arson attacks.

The police investigation has so far linked the suspect to two of these events.

The 28-year-old man was scheduled to appear Thursday afternoon at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse on various charges.
