“All those who told me that…”, without filter, a former collaborator of Sophie Davant in “Closed Deal” swings on his colleagues!

On December 25, 2021, Julien Cohen surprised everyone by announcing from a video posted on his Instagram account his departure fromDeal doneon France 2, after four fine years of colorful and daily auctions. At the time, the buyer with blue glasses thus detailed its balance sheet in the columns of the Mail Picard : “It’s the end clap as far as I’m concerned for Deal Concluded […] I shot 1,557 shows, I saw 7,204 people presenting me with objects, I bought 1,813 of them, I participated in 330 days of filming in 4 and a half years, at a rate of three then four and up to six shows per day. I lived an extraordinary adventure”. Before specifying more personal motivations on Instagram: “During those four and a half years, I went to bed early, I had a somewhat complicated social life for my wife because it takes a lot of energy to shoot Affair Concluded. And this energy, I put it on the set to the detriment of a lot of other things: no restaurants, no evening outings…“, he underlined. Since then, far from the time-consuming TV sets, the antique dealer has embarked on the creation of second-hand houses, of which he has just inaugurated, on June 3, 2023, the fourth in Chateaudun. Eventually? “I dream of a route of second-hand goods houses like the wine route” he confided to the Parisian on June 2.

“I was told: ‘you clown on TV’!”

Invited this Saturday, June 10 on the set of TPMP Peoplein the company of Frédéric Zeitoun, an illustrious collaborator on Telematin for 25 years, the former acolyte of Sophie Davant and Pierre-Jean Chalençon with whom he regularly performed a show, wanted to look back on his four years of collaborations at Deal done. An experience that he does not regret but which earned him, at the beginning, some ridicule in his professional environment, as he tells it in front of Bernard Montiel: “At the beginning, it considerably devalued me, I was told ‘you clown on TV’” he blurts out under the incredulous gaze of the other columnists. Then very quickly to point out that “everyone who told me that, all sent a CV to be part of the Deal done team! Because when you’re on TV, I did 1,557 shows, that was a lot, we have a huge notoriety, it brings in other business and those who pointed their finger at us all tried to pass… even for just once” !
