Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, Minister of Sports, was the guest of “4 Vérités” on France 2, Monday October 30.

Sunday October 29, ahead of the Marseille-Lyon match, Lyon team buses and supporters were targeted by projectiles on the path leading to the stadium. The coach, Fabio Grosso, was injured and the match was canceled. “Dismay, revolt, disgust. Then, obviously, a feeling of empathy, enormous thoughts for the coach, for the team, for the assistant coach, for the supporters”indicates Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, Minister of Sports, guest of “4 Vérités” on France 2, Monday October 30.

“We already have seven arrests”

In the stadium, Le Parisien reported this morning that there were Nazi salutes. “We saw in this stadium almost everything we don’t want to see: homophobic remarks, racist signs. But, overall, the evacuation of the stadium went correctly”notes the Minister of Sports.

What answer should you have? “We already have seven arrests, this will continue. The investigation will make it possible to establish the chain of responsibilities very precisely and all the perpetrators of these unacceptable actions will have to be very severely punished”, specifies Amélie Oudéa-Castéra. Should football clubs be sanctioned? “If there are responsibilities, of course”she adds.
