While several National teams are playing late National matches this week, Stade Lavallois is up to date with its schedule. The club therefore decided to play a friendly match. Laval coach Olivier Frapolli explains the main reasons: “it’s to keep up the pace. In fact, the players are scheduled to play every weekend and the training week is also made for that. So keeping a match ends the week. The second reason is to allow some players to have playing time. The group had ten days of vacation so we are not in a period where the organisms are tired. We need to play, to keep the rhythm.”
It is against the reserve of Sco d’Angers who plays in National 2 that the Laval footballers will play this friendly match. Stade Lavallois, current co-leader of National, won its three matches in January. The next day of the championship will see the Tango club welcome Bastia-Borgo, 17th in the National, on Friday February 4.
