The weather has taken a radical turn these days in France with rain and wind. In the middle of the All Saints holidays, tourists try to take advantage of the last rays of the sun, sea or near a Lake.

This autumn, while the French take advantage of the All Saints’ Day holidays, Ouessant, in Finistère, is on the rise. The people of Brest come to the island as neighbors for the day. Others made a longer trip, like a couple from Drôme. “This is the first time in Ouessant, but a change of scenery is guaranteed”, smiles Jen Bernard, a visitor. On the coast, walkers take in the view. Attendance, boosted by vacation a markedly progressed. “Compared to last year, we are already at + 11% for the month of October “, observes Pauline Bourda, account manager at the Ouessant tourist office.

On the other side of the country, in Chassey-lès-Montbozon (Haute-Saône), tourists from Switzerland have chosen to spend a few days in a wooden cabin on the lake. “A little moment with the family, far from iPhones and screens”, comments Muriel Munier. “We already came five years ago, in a tree house, this year we are trying on the water”, continues David Munier. Almost 80% of the cabins are reserved in October.
