In July 2022, Maxime Dereymez announced the sad news of his departure to fans of Dance with the stars. “DALS and I will not be blowing out our 12th candle. I have invested 300% each season, on each scene to offer the best of myself , enhance my partners and honor this magnificent position as coach and choreographer.” But it was only a goodbye… He, who was not part of class 12 of the TF1 program, will be there for the 13th season, with the 32-year-old drag queen, Keiona.
“I warn the new ones…”
Behind the scenes, this game of musical chairs has just been explained by a certain Julien Chapero, the casting director for “Dance with the stars” since 2015, who confided how he selected dance professionals, to Télé Loisirs.
To our colleagues, he assured: “I warn the newbies about the media image they will gain through the show. They can gain a lot of subscribers and become a public face, but they must stay in their place on this program.”
No more famous than the stars of the program
And to add: “I’m not looking for stars, but people who can do their job well. The professional dancer should not want to be known at all costs, even if they may have the opportunity to have great projects afterwards”. And that’s how he revealed Elsa Bois, Jordan Mouillerac and Inès Vandamme, in particular.
