• #NAHEL Degradation of public buildings, looting and scuffles resumed last night in many cities throughout France, for the third consecutive evening, after the death of Nahel. Some 249 police and gendarmes were slightly injured (out of 40,000 police and gendarmes mobilized) and 667 people were arrested, according to the Ministry of the Interior. Follow our live.
• #NAHEL On franceinfo, Frédéric Péchenard, vice-president of the Ile-de-France region, particularly deplored the fire at a bus terminal in Aubervilliers, in Seine-Saint-Denis, where 12 vehicles were burned. “We must condemn this violence extremely clearly and firmly,” said Transport Minister Clément Beaune from Aubervilliers. “Ihe everyday transport is at the service of everyone and especially the most modest”he pointed out.
• #INFLATION The rise in prices slowed in France for the second month in a row, standing at 4.5% over one year in June, announces INSEE in a first estimate. Inflation was 5.9% in April and 5.1% in May. For the first time since April 2022, the indicator therefore falls below 5%.
