Alizée mum: the intimate story behind the first name of her daughter Maggy

Mother of two daughters (Annily, 16 years old, born of her union with the musician Jérémy Chatelain) and Maggy (2 years old, the fruit of her love with her husband Grégoire Lyonnet), Alizée told journalists the secrets of her younger sister’s first name. of the magazine Magicmom. In this interview, we learn that it is only at the end of the 8th month of pregnancy that the performer of the title Me … Lolita figured out what she was going to call her daughter.

Lover of old names, the founder of a dance studio based in Ajaccio fell in love with this “sweet name“which allows her to combine her initials and those of her husband: A and G (initials already taken for their dance studio A&G Lyonnet). Regarding the spelling of this first name, Alizée chose the Y because her maiden name (Jacotey) but also that of her husband (Lyonnet) contain one.

She tells : “When I offered it to Grégoire and Annily, they immediately liked. Grégoire, who is still struggling to decide, said to himself “Ok, we keep this first name for the moment and we will see at birth when she will be there”. And when he saw Maggy for the first time, he thought that name suited him very well.. I didn’t want Grégoire to accept my ideas of first names to please me, I wanted it to remain a real choice for a couple. “

Of Corsican origin, Alizée Lyonnet confided that even if she particularly liked the first names of this island, she nevertheless finds them difficult to carry and to pronounce. “I realize it, when we bring the children to the competition and we have to call them at the microphone at the airport, some have (a little) unpronounceable names.“She confides. Her goal? Find an unusual, rare, old first name that reflects her love affair with Grégoire. It’s done!
