Radicalized in Ontario, Ali Ngarukiye had obviously planned everything to achieve his objective: killing police officers. His target, patrolman Sanjay Vig, came close to being killed. After five days of deliberations, the jury found Ali Ngarukiye fully guilty on Wednesday following a three-month trial.
A few months before attacking the Montreal police officer, Ali Ngarukiye announced his colors to an imam in Toronto: he wanted to kill police officers and wage Jihad. He judged that Canada was a country of “non-believers”.
