At 22, Guanyu Zhou, member of the Renault Sport Academy, is still in the running for the Formula 2 title (2nd with 36 points behind leader Oscar Piastri), for his third campaign in the competition. Next year, he will become the first Chinese to drive in Formula 1.
Antonio Giovinazzi had joined Alfa Romeo for the 2019 season, alongside former world champion Kimi Raikkonen. But in a car with limited performance, it never really got to stand out and stand out. The 2022 season will therefore see a total renewal of the drivers for Alfa Romeo, which announced in September the arrival of Valtteri Bottas in place of the future retiree Kimi Raikkonen.
