Forward Alexander Ovechkin pleased young actor Keivonn Woodard, who rose to prominence in the series “The Last of Us”, by giving him a few minutes of his time on Friday.

Affected by deafness, the 10-year-old boy dreamed of meeting his idol and it is now done. As part of Black History Month, Woodard and other young African-American hockey players were also honored on the sidelines of the matchup between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers on Saturday.
Indeed, when he does not appear in post-apocalyptic series, the native of Maryland plays for the M10 hockey club of the Bowie Bruins.
Woodard showed the extent of his talent during a Caps practice on Friday, beating Charlie Lindgren on the breakaway.
Earlier this season, the Capitals had donated $10,000 to his team, which notably allowed him to have access to a sign language interpreter at his local arena.
