Alec Baldwin breaks the silence: his first words after killing Halyna Hutchins

Thursday, October 21, 2021, while in New Mexico, for the shooting of his next film titled Rust, actor Alec Baldwin accidentally shot two people thinking they had a dummy pistol in their hands. 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins has died after being taken to hospital. Following this drama, the actor spoke.

This Friday, October 22, no doubt a little recovered from his emotions after this terrible accident, Alec Baldwin therefore posted two messages on his Twitter account to react. “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness following the tragic accident which took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, a mother and a colleague deeply admired by all of us. I am fully cooperating with the police investigation to establish how this tragedy could have taken place and I am in contact with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. I’m heartbroken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna“, he wrote.

Alec Baldwin, pictured collapsed minutes after the drama, also shot director Joel Souza, still in intensive care. The actor had reiterated on set that he didn’t understand why he had a real gun with real bullets and, unfortunately, drama finally happened. They “were shot and wounded when Alec Baldwin unloaded a gun used for filming“the Santa Fe Sheriff said in a statement.

For now, no indictment has been pronounced but there is no doubt that the props in charge of the shooting will be heard by the police, just like the gunsmith who provided the pistol to be loaded blank.
