The production of this lyrical opera (in joual), adapted from the famous play by Michel Tremblay, set to music by Catherine Major, will begin its tour on March 16 in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
The production directed by Nathalie Deschamps will stop in some twenty cities in Quebec and Ontario over the next few months.
Created at the Rideau Vert in the summer of 2022, the six performers of Albertine (at different ages) – Florence Bourget, Chantal Dionne, Chantal Lambert, Marianne Lambert, Monique Pagé and Catherine St-Arnaud – will be accompanied by five musicians.
The music was recorded last November by ATMA Classique.
