It’s recovery time for AS Nancy Lorraine players. Six weeks before the resumption of the club’s National thistle, the team returned to the Hague forest under the orders of coach Albert Cartier, his assistant Jamal Alioui, physical trainer Nicolas Baup and the goalkeeping coach Gennaro Bracigliano.
A recovery with seven recruits (Cropanese, Mouazan, Mendy, Umbdenstock, N’Doye, Giacomini, Nangis), a defender who has not yet signed (Lucas Pellegrini), a trial goalkeeper (Seydou Sy), three new pros trained in Nancy ( Giagnorio, Nonnenmacher and Francke) as well as three young people from the training center (Lhernault, Tayot-Savina, Hamada). Only four professional players from last year were present (El Ayanaoui, Jung, Delos and Latouchent). Haag, Basila, Simoes and Cissé (extended holidays due to national selection) were absent.
A first session under the eyes of the managers of the Decathlon store in Houdemont who will equip AS Nancy Lorraine this season via the brand’s football brand, Kipsta. For the first friendly matches, the people of Nancy will wear flocked training shirts.
Humility, work, sacrifice and caring”
A recovery with physical work in the morning and ball in the afternoon. Two sessions a day this week and a desire to draw a line under last season thanks to a workforce largely renewed by Albert Cartier: “We are not redoing last season. 80% of the workforce is new, they are not interested. We talk to them about what we want to put in place with them. We have a real challenge with words in front: humility, work, sacrifice and self-sacrifice“.
Among the recruits, several players have already evolved under the orders of Albert Cartier. This is particularly the case of Alexandre Cropanese, former captain of Bastia Borgo. Albert Cartier is obviously no stranger to his visit. The midfielder seduced by the project of AS Nancy Lorraine who wants to quickly go back to National : “For any footballer, an ambitious project appeals. Nancy must find her place and she is not in National. We must not put pressure on ourselves, take the time to get to know each other well and with the staff we have and their speech, if we do things well, we will be happy at the end of the season.“.
