The day after a Dantesque stage, marked by difficult weather conditions, Julian Alaphilippe’s new number and Tadej Pogacar’s fifth victory, the peloton is not letting up. On the program: a new mountain stage of 159 km with five difficulties on the program between Val Gardena and Passo Brocon.
If the final victory already seems promised to the Slovenian, who is more than seven minutes ahead of his new runner-up Daniel Felipe Martinez, the podium is still uncertain with five riders who are less than 3’30. These outsiders could be explained on Wednesday, with a 1st category pass in the middle of the stage (19.8 km at 4.6%) and the final climb, the Passo Brocon (15.4 km at 5.6%).
